PG Booth is trying to stay current with the latest technologies and newest features made available in Apples' latest iOS version. Recently iOS 11 was released and it allows us to access more data about the faces in the camera on certain devices.

A soon to be released version of PG Booth is going to be the 1st iteration that uses new features of the AR-Kit from Apple. The first version will be playing with new PG Booth "Digital Props" so your favorite iPhone and/or iPad photo booth app will have the option to add digital props!! We have lots more ideas for Augmented Reality (AR) to include in PG Booth, but it takes some time. So were starting with Digital Props and will take it from there.

Digital Props Testing Info

Tested iPhone and iPad models

These are the iOS devices I have tested the digital props on.

  1. iPhone 7 ( non-plus version ) *landscape mode
  2. iPad Pro 12.9" ( original ) *landscape mode

iPhone and iPad models that will work

I have not tested these yet.

  1. iPhone X
  2. iPhone 8
  3. iPhone 8 PLUS
  4. iPhone 7 PLUS
  5. iPad Pro 12.9" ( new )
  6. iPad Pro 10.5" ( new )

***landscape mode - I have noticed that the new face recognition in iOS 11 works really well in landscape mode but not so much in portrait. I am hoping that is not the case with the newer devices that I do not personally own.
